Energy Education began working with Oklahoma State University in 2007. Serving universities
the size of OSU requires tremendous expertise, experience, and resources. With multiple campuses and hundreds of buildings, including gymnasiums, research labs, medical facilities, athletic fields, performance halls, and dormitories, Energy Education brought proven conservation practices, sensitivity, focus, and drive to OSU’s conservation efforts.
OSU reports $18.3 million in savings with Energy Education's program and was able to delay the purchase of a $2 million chiller for a total $20.3 million impact.
In 2009, OSU earned the Grand Finalist Award from the Southern Association of College and University Business Officers for the energy conservation program.
In 2011, Hinds Community College — the largest community college in Mississippi — won the Innovation Award from the National Association of University Business Officers for its comprehensive energy program that has saved 27 percent of expected energy costs.
