Loudoun Schools Honored for Reducing Emissions The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency recently named Loudoun County public schools a 2010 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year for their energy management and reductions in greenhouse gas emissions. The award was presented March 18 at a banquet in the District. Loudoun schools have partnered with Energy Education, a Dallas-based energy management firm, since 1993. Through the partnership, the school system has saved more than $34.4 million, school officials said.
